About Pilar
E-RYT500, PTA, YACEP
Pilar has extensive experience with teaching and practicing yoga and is a graduate of the Physical Therapist Assistant Program at the University of Cincinnati Clermont College. She works in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine* and continues to enjoy teaching yoga and movement.
Pilar also holds BA’s in Spanish and Art History, focusing on Mesoamerican and Chicano studies. When not teaching or practicing yoga, Pilar can be found reading, studying, painting and drawing, or appreciating art in its various forms.

Pilar has over 4,500 hours of teaching experience with a wide array of yoga clients. She has studied under various yoga teachers and movement professionals.

Class Types

Pilar leads public group classes in the styles of Vinyasa Flow, Slow Flow, Yin, Modo, Modo Flow, Yang/Yin, and Hot Flow. She's known for leading classes that leave participants feeling empowered while exploring an appropriate degree of challenge. Clear instruction and functional cueing for skillful movement makes for an accessible yet inspiring practice for all experience levels.
She believes that anyone can participate in a yoga practice. Whether it's discovering a thread of mindfulness through the stillness of Yin, the flow of movement with breath through Vinyasa, or anywhere in between, yoga can be a transformational practice. |
